Choosing Happiness

I've been trying to control things in my life for as long as I can remember. I even make up goals to give myself things to control. I bet you do too. 


Lose 10 lbs

Run a 5k

Declutter the house


These are all goals we set that help us feel a sense of control over our lives. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that we shouldn't have goals, but we should be honest with ourselves about what the intent of these goals are. Are the goals distractions to give us something to focus on that we can control or are they truly things that are going to bring more joy into our lives?


And then there are other things like not speaking my truth to avoid conflict. Do you do that? Silence your true self to control how others treat you?


Here's a simple truth, we cannot control life. We cannot control what happens or how people react to us. And that is okay. The universe already has a divinely perfect plan for each and every one of us, we don't need to keep trying to control everything.


Choosing Happiness


Lately my dreams have been difficult. I wake up with feelings of fear and anxiety, emotions that feel uncomfortable and sometimes foreign. I've been struggling with these dreams and asking my guides why this is happening.


Today I realized my dreams are trying to help me release these emotions. Bringing the low vibrational energy I've chosen to align with to the surface so I can transmute it. 


Because it is a choice. This 3D world draws us to fear and anxiety, but we can choose happiness. It is revolutionary, and it is hard, but we can do it.


Letting Go


The first step is to accept that we are not in control. We cannot control what happens to us, but we can choose how we react. We can choose happiness. We can choose to trust the universe to take care of us and when we do this we align with the vibration of our greatest, highest good.
